If you haven’t tried this before, you might not believe that this actually works. But trust me! This is the greatest treat, and it’s made out of bananas. That’s it! (Well, and a little vanilla. Plus any toppings you want to put on it. But technically it’s still only one healthy ingredient for this amazing treat.)
Here’s the skinny:
2 ripe or overripe bananas
2 teaspoons vanilla
Slice bananas and freeze at least 2-3 hours. Puree frozen banana slices in the food processor for about 5 minutes. (You’ll have to stop it to mix, especially in the beginning.) About halfway through add the vanilla. Serve immediately with desired toppings (mini chocolate chips, berries, chopped nuts, etc.)
The kids love this treat! For more great kid-friendly snacks and recipes, click HERE.
