Ep. 89 - When You Have Mom Guilt

Every summer, it creeps back in… That subtle (or sometimes loud) voice whispering:

You’re not doing enough. “You’re not doing it right.”

Sound familiar?

In this episode, we’re talking all about mom guilt—that heavy, conflicting pressure we carry around about everything from how clean the house is, to whether our kids read enough, or have too little responsibility.

It’s time to ditch the guilt and choose something much better: Confidence.

Key Takeaways:

  • The dizzying, contradictory list of “mom guilt” messages we internalize.
  • Why guilt feels convincing (even helpful!)—but ultimately drains us.
  • The difference between guilt-driven action and confidence-fueled living.
  • How to recognize “guilt smoke alarms” through your feelings.
  • Two ways to start trusting yourself instead of outside pressures.
  • Real-life examples of what it looks like to walk the path of confidence.

So What?

Feeling guilty is not a requirement of being a good mom. In fact, it can pull us in so many directions we never find peace or joy in the life we’re working so hard to create. When we slow down, notice the emotions that show up, and reflect on times we’ve trusted our own voice, we begin to build real confidence—mom confidence. And that feels a whole lot better.
